Savoiardi Ladyfingers - Recipe

Savoiardi are traditional Italian cookies to eat with your coffee. This simple recipe explains how to prepare delicious homemade ladyfingers.

  • Eggs

  • Egg Yolks

  • Powdered Sugar

    3/4 cup
  • Sugar

    1 cup
  • Salt

    1/2 tsp
  • All Purpose Flour

    1/2 cup
  • Potato Starch

    1/2 lb
  • Instant Yeast

    1 bag

Cooking Directions:

Whisk all egg whites to stiff peaks. Continuing to whisk add the egg yolks and the powdered sugar. Add then the salt and 3/4 of a cup of the raw sugar. Beat until obtaining a creamy dough.

Continuing to mix with a wooden spoon, comb the flour, the potato starch and at last add the yeast. Mix until dough results homogeneous.

With the help of two spoons shape the ladyfingers and lay them in a oven baking tray.

Top each savoiardi cookie with the remaining sugar.

Bake at 350 F in the preheated oven for about 8 minutes or until ready. Let cool down the ladyfingers and serve.
