Cooking Directions:

Cut the the cheese in cubes about 1 inch long. You can use your favorite cheese such as Cheddar, Monterey Jack, Swiss or a mix of them.

Cut the pickled cucumbers in halves lengthwise.

Assemble the boats using one half of a pickled cucumber as the vessel and a long plastic skewer for the mast.

Insert a piece of cheese on the skewer as the sail to complete the boats.

Lay the lettuce to fully cover the bottom of a serving tray and place the boats on top.

Tips:

Instead of lettuce you can use shredded red cabbage to represent the waves of the sea.

Create different kind of boat appetizers using the ingredients you like best such as black olives or mushrooms.
